after doing a do-release-upgrade my vsftpd started acting up.
each time i try to logon with ftp it gives me the Syntax error: command unrecognized error and closes the connection.

The ftp server seems to be running fine, and no error messages in the error logs either.
Any idea how to solve this?

Hi i recently installed ehcp on ubuntu 12.10
every time i try to use ftp i get this error: 500 OOPS: vsftpd: refusing to run with writable root inside chroot()

i have googled this and tryed loads of methods to fix but nothing seems to be working. any1 else had this or knows how to fix this?

also on the top of the screen in the control panel after i login i get this error msg

I installed the last version of EHCP on debian squeeze 6.0.2. When l click on french language the following error message is displayed what can l do to resolve this problem

Hi,
i installed ehcp on my debian 6 vps and i love it.
I create a domain and it's ok.
If i create a mailbox i receive ok from ehcp but if i login on squirrel i receive ERROR: Connection dropped by IMAP server.
In my var/log/syslog i receive chdir mydomain.com no such file or directory and if i check /home/vmail folder it is empty!
I test all your support post but i don't resolve!
postfi mail.cf is correct.

I tried to re-setup with Debian 6 and Ubuntu 10.0.4 but i have always same problem.
vsftpd.log say nothing.
syslog say:

This is mostly caused by wrong ehcp password in config.php
if you just installed ehcp, then learn/know your ehcp root password, then re-install ehcp..

there are several ways to connect the domain, the server ehcp ..?, in addition to the nameserver ..?
I have domain.com and then I point to http://freedns.afraid.org, then in http://freedns.afraid.org I configure my domain.com to point to my ehcp server.
domain.com redirect my way to my ehcp server ip.
is there any other way than to use a domain name server to dial into the server ehcp ..?

When l loggeg on roudcube with my email address and password l can see my messages but after lest than 5 seconds l automaticaly disconnected and redirected to tha home page of roundcube. How can l sove this problem?

I know VSFTP isn't developed by EHCP, but does anyone know why my FTP access times out randomly? I'll be downloading or uploading files, and my FTP client will just hang for 2 minutes before it continues to process its queue. Is there a way to increase the timeout limit or keep this from happening?
