All PHP chmod() commands always fail out of the box with an install of EHCP. I believe this is due to the default upload permissions set in the etc/vsftpd.conf file along with the ownership and group set on all vhosts and files.

Instead of:

local_umask=022
</code>

It should be:
<code>
file_open_mode=0775
local_umask=0002
</code>

Could this be fixed in a future version of EHCP? It would be nice if chmod and creating files would work without me having to change permissions on everything through FTP.

Hello everyone.

Have installed the EHCP to Ubuntu 12.04 Server.
Got such problem: after installation it says that can't connect to mysql as user ehcp with password (I clearly remember I entered the password during installation).
I got to phpmyadmin and created user ehcp with database ehcp, with password I entered during the installation. I hoped ehcp can create necessary tables itself, if they do not exist.
Now it argues with 'Table blahblahblah does not exist', which is obvious: database if blank.

Guys where to find the SQL files for that database to create it manually?

My ehcp worked perfectly.

So I have modify this option " The id of this server, assigned by you, may be empty". It was empty and i have changed it by "Home". After i reboot the server.

Now the ehcp and my site don't work. I have traced with "tail -f /var/log/ehcp.log". So the daemon run correctly.

But my apache2 don't work.

Before this modification, i have made a beckup. Are there a solution to restore to a previous backup without ehcp control graphic.

When I create a domain, there's nothing new at /var/www/vhosts/
But ftp refers to /var/www/vhosts/%USERNAME%
As well as at /etc/apache2/sites-available
Browser shows standard EHCP welcome page when I go to that domain via browser.
Is it supposed to be so?

today i try to install openx on subdomain "openx.mydomain.com", when i try access i get "500 internal error", then i try "openx.mydomain.com/index.php" (i don't copy openx yet, just try url first) and that working. next i think need to add .htaccess with code:

on the last i still think why subdomain that i try not working correctly and i found "# this is changed to *.mydomain.com within classapp.php" and i try to read classapp.php, but it to complex. so i decide let it be, install under .../httpdocs/openx directory and may be try to fix again latter

On an old version of EHCP I could go directly to a website URL without the domain being "live" by using ip/vhosts/www/user/website/ type of url path.

The new version of EHCP isn't letting me do this.

When I connect to my server using net2ftp I have no problem at all but when I use a standalone FTP program like FileZilla using the same settings it says it can't connect to the server. What settings do I need to change.

I have a domain xxxx.com & xxxx.co.uk
when i add theese to ehcp through add domain
it adds fine i get the folders in /var/www/vhosts/xxx/xxx

But when i type xxxx.com or xxxx.co.uk all i get is ehcp default page and not the uder construction page
Before i had normall apache2 and worked in /var/www when i typed xxxx.com

I have a static ip
