problem:
First thanks for this project. I have installed EHCP in Ubuntu Server 8.04. Everything is working fine. But I have problem with E-mail sending. I have rechecked/reconfigured the postfix configuration file. But still I am not able to send e-mail from my server.
Please help me or send me some documentation to solve this problem.

Please write here, how you test to send email, using webmail or a mail client ?
do you use email username like user@domain.com, it should be like this...
from which network do you try to send email, if you are trying to send email from the same network that your server exists, then you need some additional things..

As you all know.
Ehcp is very useful for everyone.

I wanted to actually state something here.
Which might be useful.
As you know ehcp does now have support for script add-ons.

I do wish to inform everyone though.
I've recently had some issues with adding .zip script folders to the cp.

So just a notice for everyone who does use ehcp.

You may need a zip file opening program so it can execute the files.
Since linux (by default) does not support .zip format.
Your best bet would be getting the url of a tar.gz file.

However it may work if you have a zip opener on your server.
I was not successful though.

Some linux Distros may actually come by default also.

I also hope to see a couple of things on ehcp.
I will post these suggestions on our forums.

php mysql extension is not installed.... this is a serious problem.

This is mostly caused by a un-complete install of ehcp.
This should not happen on a normal ehcp install.

make sure that:
you installed ehcp on a clean, ubuntu or debian based linux OS.
non-debian linuxes cannot be used with ehcp.

I installed EHCP on Ubuntu 8.10 - after changing the language to 'de' , I got a blank page. Worked fine in english.

Is there a problem with the german translation....if so let me know what needs to be translated, I'll do that as I have time and then I'll send it to you or post it somewhere so others can benefit.

Another thing is setting up the databank is not so simple, I've setup many servers using a different control panel which was easier. I will investigate this a bit more just to see if the problem was me. Then report what the problem was, if any, and how to do that easier.

Main prob: getting the english language to work again and getting rid of the blank page.

I can't attach any file in SquirrelMail. When I try to Add a file, I'm getting this error:

This is very easy.
That is a virtual limit that is in effect up to version 0.28
You may set it as you wish in phpmyadmin, ehcp db, panelusers table
go to that table, edit admin user, set maxdomains as you wish.. set maxpanelusers and soon...

After version 0.28, i will set that 500 as default...

in fact this is a virtual limit, to protect your server...

Answer:
thank you for your try of ehcp..

that occurs when you login as a reseller/domainadmin,
That is caused by missin mysql table field:

solution:

go to phpmyadmin, or mysql console,
choose ehcp db,

execute following sql:

ALTER TABLE `forwardings` ADD `reseller` VARCHAR( 30 ) NULL AFTER `id` ;


this will be fixed in ver. 0.28

Hi,
I have created 1 users with "adduser" fot FTP only, but I can't login on FTP.
I need this user to have his home in /home/user not in /var/www/vhosts/
All ftp users created with EHCP are ok, my only problem is local user.
Any ideea?

Answer:

the cause of this is same as your previous question i think, your daemon is not running...
daemon creates ftp dirs, and gives permission..
rest is done by ftp daemon..

just restart ehcp daemon with /etc/init.d/ehcp restart
