I was able to install EHCP on an ubunto 8.10 server with no problems, everything is running smooth and i like it.
However one of domains requires a SSL certificate.
I placed the order for the ssl certificate i was able to generate the ssl cerficate using the following command
in the terminal

openssl req -nodes -newkey rsa:2048 -keyout myserver.key -out server.csr

This placed 2 files under /etc/apache2/ssl called server.csr and private.key

When i purchased the ssl from comodo.com they ask me for my server.csr and as soon as they generated the ssl cerficate they email it back to me. The cerfificate is right into the email starting like this....

Well, all that i think was easy. Now here is the problem... WHERE DO I INSTALL THE CERFIFICATE?

What else in need to have?
What do i configure?

Problem:
I am having trouble setting up the webmail. I can log in to ehcp webmail with the correct user name but when I go to send an email, I do not receive it to the test email account I where I sent it. Do you have a troubleshoot list for setting up the email server?


Answer1:
check your syslog by tail -f /var/log/syslog
on your command line, while sending your email. that will help you
resolve issue.. you may also send output to me.

to which email do you try to send email ?
try to send out to gmail for example..

Hi there, I checked the syslog and it was timing out. Turns out that my ISP filters port 25. I had to change a line in the etc/postfix/main.cf file to:

relayhost = smtp.yourisp.com

It worked after that.

I have a domain where the MX record points to another server. I edited the ns zone manualy and it works, but every time I add a new domain in EHCP or do a Sync DNS the MX record is changed back to point to my server. Is there any way to get around this?

Add subdomain diyorum ve oluşturduğum her sub domain için bir klasör oluşuyor.

buraya kadar bir sorun yoktur umarım

ama browser ı açıp subdomain.domain.com yazdığımda birşey çıkmıyor.

just got ehcp up and running today.
great program
my problem is that after i went home tonite and tryed to access site ktscomp.com i go "page cant be displayed"
when i went to ping ktscomp.com it shows the internal ip of my server instead of external.
i can still log into the control panel using my external ip and every thing works

When I have installed ehcp everyting works fine on http://www.mydomain.com/vhosts/ehcp/. The frontpage of mydomain.com shows

if you see this page instead of what you expect, you probably did not set up your domain on this server. Please log into your ehcp panel and set up your domain..or ask your admin/provider to do so...

So I log into ehcp and setup mydomain.com. But then the url to http://www.mydomain.com/vhosts/ehcp/ is no longer working (of course...).

What am I doing wrong?

I have successfully went through the install process. Now when i got to my domain i enter admin and 1234 and it does not login. It also does not give me any errors. What can be going on here? You can try at sqoneusa.com.

Also, i really like this package and what you have put together so far. I used to be a really big fan of perl. I have been gaining interest in PHP and i have always wanted to contribute to an open source project. I have never done it before so i dont know where to start. Maybe soon i will go through the source and see if i can get invloved.

if you changed your ehcp mysql dbuser pass, either restore it, or change pass in config.php too, in /var/www/vhosts/ehcp dir,

or alternatively, you may re-install ehcp.

üstad, postfix calısıyorsa smtp calısıyordur.
sen önce sunucuyu hazırla, ağ bağlantısını, internetini yap,
ipsi herneyse ver,
sonra ehcp yi yükle.

sunucunun interneti görüp görmemesi ile ehcp nin bir alakası yok.
yani ehcp sonradan normal kurulunca, sunucunun internet bağlantısını etkilemez..

sunucunun internetine karışmaz ehcp. onunla ilgili bir ayar yapmaz..

statik ip verdigin zaman, dns falan onları tanımlaman lazım, yoksa, sunucundaki internet calısmayabilir.. bunun da ehcp ile alakası yok.
ehcp de, sadece, o sunucuda calısan domainler ile ilgili ayar vardı, o da artık zaten default ayarlı...
yani mesela sen kendi sunucunda xxxx.com host ediyorsan, ve o sunucudan bu domaine girmeye calısıyorsan, ozaman ayarlar bölümünde en üstteki ayar vardı. o artık direk açık geliyor...
ehcp de local ip ayarı var... orayı yanlış verirsen, en fazla kendi sunucunun üzerinden xxxx.com a giremezsin.. hepsi bu.. yoksa sunucunun internetini, ya da başkalarının xxxx.com a bağlantısını etkilemez...
