Hi, I am in urgent need of some assistance, I am new to linux and hosting and I paid a guy i used to know to build a hosting server for me using Ubuntu and EHCP, all has been working well for about 2 years but all of a sudden my websites went down. When playing around I discovered that apache won't start, giving me the following error: VirtualHost*:80 -- mixing * ports and non-* ports with a NamVirtualHost address is not supported.

I have no idea why it went down as nothing has changed on the server at all, any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I used EHCP until last August but in the last days I have some problems with FTP upload. I use a subdirectory inside the web directory of my size but I can't complete the upload of some big files (NB they are files over 7GB). After upload 3 or 4 Gb I received the warning via SSH that I haven't much space on device or network broken pipe. I have tried also to reinstall the OS and EHCP many times, but nothing happens.
Do you have some suggestions about?

I complete all the fields and I get the following message:

Some Error Occured.
domainname cannot be empty.


It seems as if their was a bug surrounding blank domain names, however the fix seems to be blocking valid entries.

I set a virtual host up, everything worked OK. I then tried setting up a subdomain, and I got a message telling that everything was set up OK, but when I try the subdomain, I get a message that the subdomain was not found.

The following was added by EHCP to /etc/apache2/apache2.conf:

Include /var/www/new/ehcp/apachehcp.conf
Include /var/www/new/ehcp/apachehcp_subdomains.conf
Include /var/www/new/ehcp/apachehcp_auth.conf
Include /var/www/new/ehcp/apachehcp_passivedomains.conf

I now have the following directories:

/var/www/new/

Inside that directory, I now have the following directories:

- ehcp (has in it all the ehcp files, and .conf files)
- images_default_index
- vhosts (it has in it an ehcp directory with only an index.html file)

I also have: /var/www/vhosts and in this directory, I have the domain I created earilier:

/var/www/vhosts/mydomain/mydomain.com/httpdocs/subdomains/sandbox (sandbox is the name of the subdomain).


The file Include /var/www/new/ehcp/apachehcp_subdomains.conf seems to have in it the right information:

Hi, I installed it and it works rather ehcp works a treat, I say it worked because now when I create a new site in ehcp is displayed correctly the creation of the site, but not via ftp folder is created the new site.
Why does not work, what could be the problem?

I have a version of EHCP from a few months back. I know there was a post on this forum on how to disable reporting and gathering of statistics back to EHCP developers.

I would like to remove or disable this but cannot find that post on the forum now. Can someone point me to it or explain to me how this can be done.
