I used EHCP until last August but in the last days I have some problems with FTP upload. I use a subdirectory inside the web directory of my size but I can't complete the upload of some big files (NB they are files over 7GB). After upload 3 or 4 Gb I received the warning via SSH that I haven't much space on device or network broken pipe. I have tried also to reinstall the OS and EHCP many times, but nothing happens.
Do you have some suggestions about?

do you add ftp user in ehcp with sufficient quota ?
what is your hdd size? is it enaugh ?
check ftp log, also syslog
for large files, I suggest using rsync, rather than ftp.
rsync has resume capability

I tried with rsync, but I have the same problem.
Also, as the others time, server stops after the upload of 4Gb and, after reboot, it's impossible to access to emails!
This is the log of /var/log/sylog after reboot:

At the same time, it's impossible to access to ehcp admin panel via web with this warning:
"Warning: mysql_connect(): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2) in /var/www/vhosts/ehcp/config/adodb/drivers/adodb-mysql.inc.php on line 365
Error Occured while connecting to db, check your db settings...
This is mostly caused by wrong ehcp password in config.php
if you just installed ehcp, then learn/know your ehcp root password, then re-install ehcp..
you may also try troubleshoot page or Additional mysql troubleshooter... or www.ehcp.net/?q=node/245 Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)

As the other time, I have to reinstall ehcp? Uffffffff....

I have tried also to update with split files of 2GB everyone, but when the update is at 4GB, the server doesn't work after and I receive the message I write this afternoon.
It's like the server haven't much space on disk, but it's wrong, because I use only 15Gb of 250Gb.
I remain for your suggest asap

ok.
I think I understand,
check your filesystem.
It seems that you are using ext3 or another filesystem, which does not support files larger than 4G.
to fix it, you need to reinstall your Ubuntu, using ext4 filesystem.
if you do like that, most probably, it will be fixed.

Resolved! It was a problem of root size partition.
The default installer of ubuntu maked only 10 Gb for root, and when the update used all the space, I receiveid that crash.
Now I gived more size to / partition (on 250 Gb of my disk, 240Gb to /, 8Gb to /home e 2Gb to swap) and all is working, also for update biggest files like mine.
