Hi all, I need help, if I receive mail sent from hotmail or yahoomail but I can not answer it or send it to these recipients, in the / var / log / syslog shows this:

I'm located in mexico and my ip address is dynamic, on my modem ports are open 20,21,22,25,53,80,110,143 and 587 according to some previous comments, I use linux ubuntu 9.04 server edition and EHCP ver. 0.29.13 Thanks to help me. . .

Hi,

I need to know how to set the name names that returns to helo command for my domains.

i have 2 domains and i get busted by my clients firewall because the name that apear on helo isen't the same as the domain.
How can i chage/fix this ?

I am using ehcp version 0.29.09, and as I try to login to squirrel I get, Error: Connection dropped by IMAP. I've searched throughout the forums and have found nothing that helps my problem. Thanks Sean

Hey all

I have got this problem before, its about my SMTP server. Im having a company, which of course are using emails as our communication. When i installed EHCP, it all worked with making mail accounts, etc. but suddenly, yesterday, 2 of my employees cant send mails anymore. Our mailserver is hosted on a external server in Germany, and i am able to send mails without any problems. Its just the 2 clients that can't send anymore, and im afraid that i might get the same problem. They can receive mails with no problems, they just cant send. I know that its not a user-related problem (password username), because the old mailserver we had did the same. I tried to send a mail on my macbook at my girlfriends house, through wifi, that did not work. Then i tried to do the same on my mobile on its 3G-connection and that worked! Then i now think that it may be a IP-related problem?

I cant find anything in any of the mailserver logs, so i am a bit confused The system is Ubuntu Server 8.04LTS

I have made a new instal Debian 5.0.3, and a new instal ehcp 0.29.12 this night for testing.

I have redirect modem ports 20, 21, 22, 25, 53, 80, 110, 143 to this server.

Websites www.francejoomla.org and www.modele1515.francejoomla.org works fine.

I have create 2 mails : contact@francejoomla.org and contact@modele1515.francejoomla.org

I can send mail if i use SquirreIMail.

I can receive mail (SquirreIMail) only between those 2 mails.

I have 2 problems :

1) I can't received email in contact@francejoomla.org and contact@modele1515.francejoomla.org if mails are send by outside.

2) My Joomla application can't send email when i use contact form.

After installing ehcp, how do i know what my smtp settings are? I'm trying to install an open id server and it asks for the following information:
Email Host name,
This is your SMTP server. Look in your email preferences and see what the address of the server used to send your emails is.

I've tried everything i can think of but it's not having it. What are my smtp settings?

Updated to latest version and got complaints from a couple of users about SMTP being unreachable.

Hooked up to an external network and couldn't reach postfix on port 25 as usual. Switched to port 465 and got this error in thunderbird.

5.7.1 <unknown[62.243.129.82]>: Client host rejecte: Access denied. Check receiver addresses and try again.

The last part is my own translation

Is it possible to use for example gmail apps for mail instead of local ehcp mail server?
some clients has google apps for mail and my ehcp server to host webpage. if mail sent from php webform - postfix looking at virtual table and cannot find username or email address, because mail server is different, so mail goes back to www-data@[hosting-domain].com, which is also on google apps mail server! How to configure postfix to check dns instead of virtual table? or both?
