I did fresh server install and ehcp install i can access control panel and create the domain created a email user and was able to send mail out via the webmail interface and everything can not get any back.

Hi, i want to configure thunderbird to send/receive emails, for now i can receive but i am not able to send.

i do the tipical installation of echp

my thunderbird account configuration is

pop server
mail.mydomain.com at port 110
this is for receive, i have no problems with that.

smtp server to send.
server name smtp.mydomain.com at port 25

i don't know if i must to add any configuration make it work

I've been reading the many posts related to SMTP Authentication and I've never really seen a clear answer anywhere about this situation:

* End user has e-mail account setup in Windows Mail with POP/SMTP access to my server
* End user has SMTP Authentication turned on from previous hosting server
* Everything's moved to my EHCP server and now end user gets a prompt asking for SMTP Authentication information. Same settings as POP doesn't work.
* Turned off client authentication and e-mails send correctly (MAJOR SECURITY HOLE)
* Need authentication to work and open relay closed.

My tests:

* Telnet into EHCP server on port 25 and did command-line test with e-mail from anyone@anywhere.com and valid recipient on my server
* No errors, message went through successfully (MAJOR SECURITY HOLE - OPEN RELAY)

Whenever I try to log in to ehcp mail, I get something that says "connection dropped my imap. What's happening?

I am currently using ehcp and have webpages and email running, however I am not a big fan of SquirrelMail and would like to use a different email client. I have my dns info at freedns and here is the info.

I have tried a test with an email checking program and have tried the pop and smtp stuff and no go. I have also changed both to mail.kc8tdw.com and the program now connects but times out when trying to see if there is any emails. I currently can not use webmail.kc8tdw.com, due to the above dns info nor can I add it without paying money that I don't have.

So, can I do a symbolic link to get to /vhosts/ehcp/webmail/ and make this all work?

Hi, i'm using ehcp 0.29.09 on debian lenny.
the automatic installation went just fine, i have configured a test site with an email account and ftp account.
i can send emails but i couldn't receive any of them, maybe is a mx record problem, how can i configure to receive emails?
