Finally I couldnt solve the problem for sending email anybody can send email from my sever without any authentication,

I installed fresh ubuntu, download latest version of ehcp and installed from the 0 but still everybody can send email!!!!

how can i stop it?

O/S: UBUNTU 10.04 LTS
EHCP: 0.30.4

I built a new server from scratch, intalled EHCP 0.30.4 and everything seems to be working fine. However, I cannot send an an email, regardless of whether I am inside or outside the network.

At first I thought it was an internal DNS issue and after a review I did find a few problems with the DNS but nothing having to do with email.

I checked to make sure authentication was turned on and it seems to be, but outlook just loops around and around asking me for the password to my account. I have multiple accounts that I have tested against to make sure I am not simply mis-typing a password with the same results.

I CAN send email with Squirrel Mail, so i know that email itself is configured properly, and that my passwords are accurate.

PLEASE NOTE: I have deleted and recreated, added new accounts and changed the passwords to verify that my passwords are correct.

The errors that I get in the syslog are:

Not sure if this is Squirrel Mail's fault or Google's fault, but I've never had this issue prior to using an EHCP server.

After sending PHP emails with HTML content, the HTML format shows up if I login to Webmail through the EHCP panel and download the message as an attachment. The attachment, if opened by my local browser, shows up as an HTML file, and it is properly formatted. However, I'm using Google to download my emails and file them under my Gmail account. After Gmail downloads the messages, it shows up like this:

Any ideas? I really need it to show up properly once Gmail downloads the messages, as it takes a long time to login to Squirrel mail and download each message as an attachment.

My PHP Code Headers Look like this:

I haven't changed the script since using this EHCP setup... it's just not downloading properly, and I'm not sure why. Will there be an updated version of Squirrel mail included in EHCP soon? Maybe this is the problem?

Hi, I am trying to use the autoreply function of EHCP, however I am getting the following response to e-mails:


temporary failure. Command output: pipe: fatal: pipe_command: execvp
/var/www/new/ehcp/misc/autoreply.php: Permission denied

If possible, is there a solution to this?

I am using EHCP version 0.29.15.4

One of my clients is receiving this error when trying to receive a large email, do you know where can adjust the config to allow bigger emails to be received?


Technical details of permanent failure:
Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 552 552 5.3.4 Error: message file too big (state 18).

Well i m having trouble when trying to configures mails on outlook and thunderbird the problem is im having trouble to connect to smtp server in both clients !

When using Roundcube or squirre i can connect send mail receive them.

but on the client i only can receive them cause of the smtp server.

Server : aicha.batata-dz.com (where's the main installation)
website : www.batata-dz.com it's a website managed by ehcp.

i tried all mail server aliases such as : mail.batata-dz.com, email.batata-dz.com, webmail.batata-dz.com, batata-dz.com, aicha.batata-dz.com

here is a test account mail : test@batata-dz.com
pass : ehcp

I don't know what's wrong on my end, but no inbound emails make it to my server. I can send email out to others, and they are received. I'm relaying mail through Comcast's SMTP service. Any ideas?

Any help is greatly appreciated! I also don't see anything happening in the system log when I send emails to an account hosted on my server.
