feature request: fastcgi nginx

For all, following is important:

Those combinations should be installable easily via apt-get or alike, without need of (much) manual operation.
Otherwise, it is quite difficult to implement it..

Hi,

i will analyze the fast-cgi and php-fpm.. Not done yet.. I will be doing in 2-3 days later..

About using non-apache webserver:
ehcp is closely working with apache, we need to implement apache related functions in ehcp, to be able to work with non-apache webserver..
there are a few functions.. Anyone who is good at php and who knows the config files/working idea of nginx would implement those functions.
I will later analyze nginx and discuss with friends if that worth dealing with..

as you noted, I started using your server, I hope we will have a long term cooperation...

I just looked a bit at nginx website,
appearantly, You know much more about it.. so, you should better deal with nginx implementation.
What I should do: help you about ehcp functions regarding webserver, then help you implement those functions..

Later, may be, I may deal with implementation of nginx with ehcp.
these are my initial thoughts, initial ideas, so, that may change in future..

I had communication with php-fpm maintainer, who confirmed that php-fpm works better with php and they were currently in the process of getting php-fpm integrated with PHP in an external approach, so core hooks go into php and main system will be maintained by them for giving quick updates and adding more features in near future, overall for better maintainability of php-fpm extension. They are thinking on to make it available as pecl extension if possible soon.

I reiterated about nginx usage to process php in mainstream is because of confidence on advantages of fast-cgi (in combination with php-fpm) and the about advantage of configuring nginx to use fast-cgi to process php natively and in it's full capacity without losing anything for choosing an alternative to apache for processing dynamic content as well in addition nginx's proven record of serving static content well effectively.

wordpress.com uses nginx as their web server.

Dear Mr.Bahattin

we were running nginx with php-fpm to serve static and dynamic content very much comfortably in a No Control panel Scenario. Virtual hosting can be basically done in nginx. Thing is, we need to ensure that manual operation to be done programmatically whenever changes occur in control panel, be it in root user level or reseller control panel level or user control panel level etc...
