I can't received email if mails are send by outside.

Hello,

I have made a new instal Debian 5.0.3, and a new instal ehcp 0.29.12 this night for testing.

I have redirect modem ports 20, 21, 22, 25, 53, 80, 110, 143 to this server.

Websites www.francejoomla.org and www.modele1515.francejoomla.org works fine.

I have create 2 mails : contact@francejoomla.org and contact@modele1515.francejoomla.org

I can send mail if i use SquirreIMail.

I can receive mail (SquirreIMail) only between those 2 mails.

I have 2 problems :

1) I can't received email in contact@francejoomla.org and contact@modele1515.francejoomla.org if mails are send by outside.

2) My Joomla application can't send email when i use contact form.

I use Fonction Mail Php and smtp : smtp.modele1515.francejoomla.org in Joomla configuration.

Hi,

Ok for debug,

When i send a mail from outside, there is no activity in the log.
I have reset my modem and port 25 already closed.

Never mind if i cant receive emails in this server but i was thinking that smtp is for send and pop to receive.

Here is the "syslog" when my application joomla send 1 email with the contact form :

The god news is that i have received the copy of the mail. (option when i post the form)

In Ehcp is it possible to use my smtp smtp.free.fr (because i do it with the another apache server) to send emails ?

this log shows us outgoing email, from your server to outside,

you have problem on incoming email,
so, send us logs when you try to send email from, for ex, gmail to
your server, to: info@yourdom.com

i have 2 problems.

First problem :
incoming email from outside. No activity in syslog.
Never mind for me, i don't want to manage emails, if the server is down emails comeback to the poster.

Second problem :
send email with joomla contact form, the log show that Postfix try to send an email to email@email.com,

I want only send emails so if you can explain me in EHCP or Apache where to desactive Postfix and impose my smtp : smtp.free.fr ?

I have found the raison of joomla contact form send email problem.

It was only a problem of joomla configuration....sorry for time you lost with me.

So the post is closed for me, i will come back later with anothers questions.

Ehcp seems to be the best open source i have test.
