configure Thunderbird to send/receive emails

Hi, i want to configure thunderbird to send/receive emails, for now i can receive but i am not able to send.

i do the tipical installation of echp

my thunderbird account configuration is

pop server
mail.mydomain.com at port 110
this is for receive, i have no problems with that.

smtp server to send.
server name smtp.mydomain.com at port 25

i don't know if i must to add any configuration make it work

use username: user@domain.com
pass: your pass

test using some different password/auth schemes, such as, tls, ssl, etc..
while testing, tail -f /var/log/syslog in your server console..
