What if IP is DHCP but reserved?

I would like to put server directly on internet, not behond router.
My ISP, cable provider, does reserve IP addreess based on MAC address, so I would always get the same IP.

Would this affect EHCP setup and functionality in any way?
Are there any service that do require static IP to be set?

That does not affect ehcp, other than setting static/real/external ip while installing ehcp, or within options after installed it..

knowing your external/real ip, start installation of ehcp,
when it asks you the ip, enter that ip..

your ehcp will function in that way.
