bind won't start

Hi,

Just installed EHCP on Debian without any trouble. So I wanted to park my first domainname on this new server, and that doesn't work. So I check some things out.

The Server Status tells me <b>bind</b> is not running.

I logged on with SSH and tried /etc/init.d/bind9 which tells me the same thing:

Stopping domain name service...: bindrndc: connect failed: 127.0.0.1#953: connection refused
failed!
Starting domain name service...: bind failed!

What's going on?

your bind has some problem.
to further identify the problem,
open a console on server,

tail -f /var/log/syslog

then, open another console,
/etc/init.d/bind9 restart

examin/write here the output on 1st console.
