Can I enable the authentification on postfix server?

I'm sending emails, but they dont arrive.

It is easy to do?

I use Ubuntu 8.04 Server.

normally, mail sending and receiving working out of box with ehcp.
You normally dont need any special setting.
ehcp installer does settings..

if you still have problems sending mail,
check your /var/log/syslog
for example, open console,
tail -f /var/log/syslog
on your server,
then try to send email,
then watch what is going on syslog..
that helps resolving your issue..

for mails to work , make sure following:
following ports open and working on your network: 25,110,143
actually following ports needed for normal hosting operation: 20,21 (ftp), 25,110,143 (mail), 53(dns), 80 (web)

you completed ehcp install on a clean ubuntu or debian based OS,
you dont have other mail related software on your server,
your ip (or dns ip) for your server is correct,
the domain that the email belongs to is redirected to your server by domain registrar (this a must for a domain to work)
