VSFTP Timeout Problems

I know VSFTP isn't developed by EHCP, but does anyone know why my FTP access times out randomly? I'll be downloading or uploading files, and my FTP client will just hang for 2 minutes before it continues to process its queue. Is there a way to increase the timeout limit or keep this from happening?

there should be some timeout setting in vsftpd.conf , check vsftpd docs.
you may increase that timeout.
